Import

You can import by opening .xmind files, or import .xmind files and other mind map formats in Xmind.

Open File

• You can open a saved mind map directly within Xmind. Click File > Open and select the target file to open.

• You could also continue your mind map from Open Recent.

• If you have recently opened the file, you can also find it in Files > Recently Opened. (Official download from website ONLY)

• Double-click the .xmind file to open it directly or right-click and select Xmind to open with.

Import File

Currently Xmind supports EdrawMind, MindManager, FreeMind, MindNode, Word (DOCX only), Markdown, OPML, TextBundle and many other file formats for import. You can collaborate across tools to make your mind maps better shared and presented, and more importantly, makes all your documents completely your own.

• Click on the menu bar File > Import, select and click on the file format you want to import.
